60 minutes is fairly good for a 3$ tape. And yes im giving 2 or 3 in with it, they are re-recordable and yes you can find them at any best buy, its not an outdated technology, as i said this thing is the same as the current sony MiniDV camcorder's but the only difference is the newer ones have a different body. At anyplace like walmart, best buy, and place that sells video camera or supplies, ive even seen them at shoppers drug mart, the tapes are sold as singles, 5's or 20 packs.

Oh the mini DV-tapes take 60 minutes of recordering each, ive seen 72 minute tapes aswell. Tapes cost about 3$ each

You can do USB or FIREWIRE. Depends what cable you have, I have a FIREWIRE but any usb camera cable will do. im sure i could find one to throw in.
